Little Ayden Tummy Time

Here's Ayden at 3 weeks 3 days doing tummy time

Ayden William Ravin Patel 10-4-09, 6 lbs. 6 oz.

Wow... Ayden is almost four weeks old. Where does the time go! He is doing excellent and we are so over joyed to have him here. Its funny we almost cant remember life without him! I really cant figure out where our days go. I am home with him all day and they are flying bye! Daddy only got to stay home for a week and each day when he gets home he is reminded of how much he missed his little man. In his short time here he has had so many visitors. Nana Theresa and Papa Bill came for a week visit just after he was born. Pritesh Nuna comes to see him almost every weekend and his Foi's came for a special visit on the 11th day after his birth. Only one Foi was missing, Jenny Foi. He is counting the days for her visit. He also had a surprise visit from Jaina Nunnie, PK Nuna, and Ayva all the way from New York! Grandpa Jim will be here in two weeks and Uncle Stuart and Aunt Amber are coming to spend Thanksgiving with us! He is so loved by all of you! We cant express how blessed we all are by having each of you in our lives. Enjoy the pictures there are more to come.

29 Weeks Later!

Wow! I can't believe it has been so long since our last post! It has been the craziest month ever... For those of you who don't know, were are now completely  moved to Sacramento, CA. We have been very busy unpacking box after box and trying to set up Ayden's nursery as well... Don't worry Ayden has been busy too, stretching his little legs and arms all day long!  Ravin did a little paint job and thanks to Ayden's grandma's, grandpa's, and his great grandmother we will soon have a changing table, bed, and glider! Thank you so so much. 

We meet our new doctor this week and we love her! (Thank God) She is really great, and now I can sleep at night knowing we wont have some crazy doc deliver our baby!! Well I could sleep at night if I could ever get comfortable (sorry hunny!!). I seem to be keeping Ravin up with my tossing and turning. 

We are missing New York City quit a bit after only two weeks. We meet up with my friends Raquel and Tim in SF for dinner and realized why we love cities all over again~! 

So we have decided on a name!!!!! 25 Weeks

So after months of Ashlee's persistent effort of pushing the her name for our little one we have finally decided on a name..... the name she has loved since we first found out about the little guy....so here it is.............AYDEN.  It means Little fire, and I know he's gonna a be a little rascal so I'm Game.   Also here's her belly at 25 weeks

So update on my wife, one very strong women, she is pushing along really well.  Tomorrow she flies home for her Indiana baby shower.  only a couple of weeks left in New York.  Next posting we'll have pics of her belly.

So today is the 14th of June! On Tuesday the 9th I felt the first real kicks.. I began felling them more and more thorough out the week .. On the 12th I had my hand on my belly and finally felt him kick with my hand.. It was amazing!! Finally he is getting stronger and we can truly feel his presence. Ravin felt a bit frustrated over the next couple of days because he couldn't feel them! Well today it happened!! He felt the kicks!! I think it lit up his world!! (I KNOW IT DID)

Also breaking news!! We agreed on a name!! However you will all have to wait a while to hear it.. Ravin wants to keep it with just us for now.. So Baby Patel it is to you.. Shh... I know the real name!! Love you all.. We will keep you posted!! 

Little Patel at 21.5 weeks

Here he is curled up in a ball.  The Ultrasound tech had to preform all three different ultrasounds to get his full anatomy ultrasound.  He's healthy and definitely a little boy! Any names suggestions let us know...we're debating the names we have so far....Aiden, Cayden, Caleb, and Gavin.  Hope to here from you guys soon.

So in exactly two weeks we go for another ultrasound... This one is to see the functions of all the organs... IT ALSO will confirm the sex since the previous one was only at 16 weeks... It is a bit early and the results cant be confirmed.. Maybe my love will get his little girl after all... We will see... (It sure would solve the name debate!!!) :) 

These days I am feeling great!! I just booked my tickets home for the 4th of July weekend.. Yeah baby shower, girl time, family time!!! All of you around for the 4th give me a call!!

so i thought i would give an update on Ashlee on my behalf.  Mrs. Patel has exceeded my personal expectations! She is one tough cookie!!!!  this is my love at 15 weeks pregnant..at Sam's club of all places.

April Update~~!

So... We just got back from the doctors visit.. We got all the test results and they are great!! We heard baby's heart beat and so far everything is great!! Wish us luck!! We go back in mid May and find out the sex the first of June!! 

The Pregnancy Summary so Far...

Hello Friends and Family.  We started this blog due to the fact that all of our loved ones and friends are vastly spread apart all over the United States and Abroad. It's a way to Keep everyone in the loop and give us the chance to share the ups and downs we both will encounter during and after the pregnancy.  The blog will also allow us to gain insight from all of your questions and comments.  

So it has only been 8 months since our wedding,  and originally we were going to wait a few years before we planned to have children.  But life had other plans. Sometime in the beginning of the year we managed to conceive a baby while Ashlee was on birth control.  We did not know she was pregnant until March 21st, and assumed the baby was about 4 weeks old.  We scheduled an appointment with her Obgyn on March 23rd.  He did a blood test to make sure the pregnancy was accurate and later that night I recieved a phone call from Dr. S that Ashlee was about 6 weeks into her pregancy.  But wait it gets even better!!!

We had a Sonogram scheduled for April 6th, the Monday Ashlee's parent were here, so "T" and Bill would be with us when we first saw the baby and heard the heart beat.  As we were in the room, the sonogram tech did her magic and on the screen appeared a little baby.  In my head I was thinking "wait a minute, that baby looks way to developed to be an 8 week old baby!" I asked the tech how far along was the baby based on the sonogram and to my surprise she says " I would say around 12 weeks."  I was shocked. I turn to "T" and she tells me right when she saw the baby's image she knew the baby was way older than 8 weeks.

So luckily for Ashlee the hardest trimester is over and she had no troubles at all!!!

So this Monday April 20th we both will see Dr. S and he will tell us the new due date and age of the baby based on the radiologist findings.  we will keep you posted on any future news.
